In The United States We Count The Votes, Don't We?
I remember my anger during the whole Bush-Gore hanging chad scandel. Those were difficult days and it was hard to control my anger and disapointment when the Supreme Court of the United States stopped the counting of votes in Florida. It was a difficult time. I feel that anger again.
This country for so long has struggled to engage its people in the electoral process. How many elections did we see in the last twenty years where just a small portion of our people came out to vote? Finally, in this Democratic Primary people are excited. They aren't just excited about one candidate, they are excited about both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Isn't that a good thing? Why is there a rush to end the excitement, to stop the process, to leave some people out?
It appears the mainstream media would much rather see an Obama vs. McCain battle come November, but it shouldn't be the media who decides this thing. It should be the people. Hey, I expect that if the process is seen as fair then in the end everyone makes peace and things go on their usual course. However, if the process is seen as unfair, I just don't see how that helps anyone. Angry people do stupid things, like stay home, or vote against their own interests. This thing needs to play itself out.
Reality television is all the rage right now, and this is reality television at its best! Barack Obama representing something different to his supporters, and Hillary Clinton representing, ironically, the underdog fighting against the tide. Everybody loves a good ending. There is only one good ending, counting all the votes and seeing who wins. After all, that's the American way!

You are exactly right! Neither candidate can garner enough delegates at this point. Let it continue to the end and then work it out! The media really needs to tamper down the rhetoric. If they do, it will work out in the end.
Hillary is winning BIG (35%+) in WV. Again, people around the country feel ignored by Obama's campaign. They ignored WV because they didn't think they were important and thought the race was over. How arrogant! Also, they are ignoring Michigan and Florida voters by not allowing them to count the votes. Talk about stealing the election! Who ever comes out with the most popular votes including all states, all primaries and caucuses, and all terrorities should win the nomination. If that is Obama, than so be it. If it is Hillary, then she should be the nominee. It is the only thing that makes sense in this great "democracy". ... Sometimes I wonder with people like Obama how much longer our government will let our democracy work the way it is supposed to.

No voters will be left behind.

Umm, the votes count if and only if they're for Obama. Otherwise, you must be racist, clinging to your guns and religion, or unenlightened. Otherwise, there must be some sort of problem with you.
